West Mecklenburg's super freshman JaQuaria Forney leads team in scoring with 32, 18, 28, 35 pt games. She is currently one of the highest scoring freshmen in the city.
6"6' 8th Grade Center Deandre Tillman leads James Martin Middle School team to victory over Bradley with 16 pts 10 rebounds 4 blocks.
14u teams were asked to have the honor of being the first to play in the new facility.

Malik Stith, 5'11 PG East Mecklenburg High School, NC High School 4A MVP and Sate Champion point guard gets ready to make mark on the 2008  summer circuit. He will lead the United Celtics 17u to Hoop Group's Pitt Jam for a stellar appearance. Stith has gained many Mid to High interests and will be attending Bridgeton Prep for a year to be able to welcome many more.....

With the live period just around the corner, and college coaches flocking to gyms and tournaments. 2009 big man class may see some new faces, and Hassan Whiteside will be one. A big man with plenty of upside and a smooth stroke will definitely have some coaches sitting ringside side in April and July.

While most NC 15u teams are in AAU Pool Play, the United Celtics 15u Travel Team is on the road headed to Georgia for some major comp with the likings of the Georgia Stars, Lou Will Allstars, Lebron King James of the South and Symrna Stars. Phenom freshman PG Marquis Rankin will lead a allstar cast for the United Celtics with running mates 6'2 Jacoby Davis, 6'8 Javaughn  Pressley, 6'9 Anthony Williams, 6'6 Keith Belfield,6'4 Robbie Vanlenden,5'9 Reggie Archeniux, , 6'0 Jeremy Simeon, 5'7 Sam Mouzon.

17u United Celtics Make 2008 King James Tournament Gold Bracket Finals
Congrats to the above along with Titus Robinson, John Pharham, Corey Rase, Ben Cherry, Miguel Cordona, and Adam Hunt
While most teams were head up north to King James , some coaches were leading the 15u gold and 16u combo team down south towards Nashville for Carl Reeds "King of the South". Both Teams competed hard, while the 16u team captured a Elite 8 appearance, the 15u gold team were on an impressive final four run, but had to make a early exit due to travel time and was not able to stay for the Championship game.

2008 King James will be one to remember for the United Celtics Organization. With the 16u Gold team making a hard fought Elite 8 appearance in the gold Bracket after winning their pool to an outstanding Championship game appearance for the 17u Gold squad after beating some of the best teams in the country. Not to mention some pretty good offers picked up while on the trip.  Click here for results

The 15u United Celtics get with they been waiting for in 6'8" SF Bernard Sullivan. After an April of resting after an intense school season for North Meck. The skilled Sullivan was at the United Celtics workouts this week  and is pumped up for the July month schedule
BOB GIBBONS T.O.C UNITED CELTICS REPORT
The Gibbons T.O.C proved to be a proven battle ground for the United Celtics 17u and 15u Teams. After the 17u defeated a heavy favorite in Mike Millers 33 Ballers on Friday night. The 15u took care of business in an opening round win over Boo Williams 15u stacked squad. Later that day 17u lose a hard fought battle leading most of the game and losing by 4 to OBC of Ohio, then defeating Grand Rapids Storm, to win the pool and advance to the sweet 16. 15u continued a hot streak beating Team Breakdown, and a scrappy Long Island Lighting team to win their pool. 15u continued on by defeating triple threat in the elite 8 and losing by inches to MM33 ballers in the Final Four. REEBOK VIRGINIA INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT REPORT
United Celtics 16u Combo survive some tough games in Va. By being the only southern team in the event with 32 teams, the team was able to capture their pool and advance to the Elite 8 with a huge win over the Fairfax Stars and fail short by one point the Crusader Nation from Baltimore, Tough play was given out by the whole squad and they were rewarded with a campus tour of George Mason University and Virginia Commonwealth University
GENERATION NEXT TOURNAMENT REPORT
United Celtics make another historic weekend by the 15u's making the championship game at Generation Next Summer Tournament by getting a tough win over Houston Hoops and 14u making Final Four with huge wins over Richmond Metro and Richmond Squires and only losing to one to the New Orleans Panthers
The 15u United Celtics get a championship victory by claiming the Gold Bracket it the 2008 "Adidas It Takes Five" on the way PG Marquise Rankin picks up an offer from the bayou state in Louisiana Tech University
16u United Celtics 6'7" PF/Manny Diaz  starts to see major recruiting buzz while in Cincy at It Takes Five. He plans to continue strides for July
15u United Celtics 6'1" PG/SG Jacoby Davis continues to shine while hearing for most ACC schools and starting to hear some noise from the SEC world

It has been confirmed with Virginia Tech staff that 2012 United Celtics 14u 6'3" guard Jasen Eddie has been offered by the Hokies. This makes Eddie the first and youngest player offered by the ACC school, and the United Celtics were the first in the Carolinas....
